Nuestro paso por Electric Love Festival nos brindó la posibilidad de hablar con uno de los artistas más en forma del momento, Morten.
El DJ y productor danés ha logrado impulsar su sonido increíblemente innovador, convirtiéndolo en uno de los más escuchados a nivel mundial. Su capacidad para producir música con una perfecta combinación entre sonidos melódicos y cautivadores con drops cargados de energía y oscuridad le distinguen de la mayoría de los artistas.
Además, se ha convertido en cofundador de Future Rave junto a David Guetta. Así, después de sus inmensos éxitos los dos últimos años, Morten ha logrado subirse a los escenarios de los principales festivales del mundo, como Electric Love Festival.

AllFest – Después de pinchar en los mejores festivales del mundo en los últimos años, crear junto a David Guetta Future Rave… ¿qué es lo próximo?, ¿qué te motiva?
Morten – Es una buena pregunta. Cuando me das un poco, quiero más, lo quiero todo. Me encanta estar de tour, especialmente venir a un festival como Electric Love y estar con la misma gente del año pasado, la energía aquí… Es muy especial. Es algo que quieres repetir cada año.
Es algo que te motiva a seguir haciendo música, a ser mejor año a año.
AllFest – ¿Qué podemos esperar de Future Rave en los próximos años?
Morten – De cara al futuro no sé…
Por ahora, en una semana tenemos un nuevo lanzamiento, lo probare esta noche aquí. Es una canción con la que estoy muy contento y quiero ver la reacción del público.
AllFest – Cuando estás produciendo, ¿qué emociones pretendes transmitir a la gente cuando la escuche?
Morten – Es una muy buena pregunta. Estoy muy influenciado por el lugar donde nací, en Copenhague. Allí se utilizan muchas vocales indie y melodías más oscuras.
Crecí escuchando diferentes artistas y esta influencia creo que se puede observar en la música que produzco.
Una mezcla entre una melodía cuidada con sonidos un poco más oscuros. Además, me gustan las influencias trance, la influencia de un sonido épico desordenado que cree una atmósfera de atención alrededor de la canción.
En definitiva, me gustan las buenas fiestas así que también me gusta la energía.
AllFest – ¿Alguna vez te has planteado dejarlo? ¿Has pensado que esto no era para ti? Si es así, ¿cómo lo superaste?
Morten – Creo que todo el mundo que trabaja con pasión por un objetivo pasa por momentos así. Te preguntas si es el camino correcto para ti o si lo estás haciendo bien. En mi caso, pase algunos años cuando vivía en Estados Unidos que fueron especialmente duros, así que empecé a crear música muy variada y abrir distintos caminos.
En realidad, nunca pensé en dejarlo, simplemente pensé en cómo había crecido y madurado en todo este tiempo, como podría llegar a conectar con la gente para poder pinchar en un festival como Electric Love.

Our time at Electric Love Festival gave us the chance to talk to one of the most in-form artists of the moment, Morten.
The Danish DJ and producer has managed to push his incredibly innovative sound, making him one of the most listened to artists worldwide. His ability to produce music with a perfect combination of melodic and captivating sounds with energetic and dark drops sets him apart from most artists.
In addition, he has become a co-founder of Future Rave with David Guetta. Thus, after his immense successes of the last two years, Morten has managed to get on the stages of major festivals around the world, such as Electric Love Festival.

AllFest- After playing at the best festivals in the world in recent years, creating with David Guetta Future Rave … what’s next, what motivates you?
Morten – That’s a good question. When you give me a little bit, I want more, I want it all. I love being on tour, especially coming to a festival like Electric Love and being with the same people as last year, the energy here…. It’s very special. It’s something you want to repeat every year.
It’s something that motivates you to keep making music, to be better year after year.
AllFest – What can we expect from Future Rave in the coming years?
Morten – I don’t know about the future…
For now, in a week we have a new release, I’ll try it out tonight here. It’s a song I’m very happy with and I want to see the reaction of the audience.
AllFest – When you’re producing, what emotions do you intend to convey to people when they hear it?
Morten – That’s a very good question. I’m very influenced by where I was born, in Copenhagen. A lot of indie vocals and more darker melodies are used there.
I grew up listening to different types of artists and this influence I think can be seen in the music I produce.
A mix between a careful melody with a bit darker sounds. Also, I like trance influences, the influence of a messy epic sound that creates an atmosphere of attention around the song.
All in all, I like good parties so I also like energy.
AllFest –Have you ever considered quitting, have you ever thought this wasn’t for you? If so, how did you overcome it?
Morten – I think everyone who works passionately for a goal goes through times like this. You wonder if it’s the right path for you or if you’re doing it right. In my case, I went through some years when I was living in the United States that were especially hard, so I started to create very varied music and open different paths.
I never really thought about quitting, I just thought about how I had grown and matured in all this time, how I could connect with people to be able to play at a festival like Electric Love.
